Teacher controls and the recording routine
Podcast 1 Lesson 3: there is / there are, can / cannot, adjectives. Start with the Goodnotes exploration. Read the full episode before recording. Speakers and personal details in the models are invented.
- Small groups: select 2–6 students; the host reads boxes 1 and 7. Four groups of four suit 16 students. The role map shares the five guest contributions.
- Whole class: assign boxes 1–16, one per student. Rehearse four voices, record them, pause and recall one idea. Then move to the next round. Choose one episode per session.
- Use the complete model, finish the lines or write your own. Personalise details before rehearsal; record English only. Pronunciation and Italian are optional supports.
- Use your microphones or recorder. Mark recorded tracks completed turns; this page does not capture audio.
While students wait: choose Invent an animal, Design a nature park, or Make an animal quiz. Draw, name it, write four sentences, then rehearse. These are on Goodnotes pages 17–19 and the activity page below. Groups work in the supervised classroom while one team records at the recording station.
Three-hour route: 25 min explore; 20 min prepare; 60 min small-group recording rotations and independent activities; 10 min break; 45 min whole-class recording and rehearsal; 15 min playback; 5 min reflection. Adjust to available equipment.
